The Fundamentals of Transformer

The so-called transformer component essentially focuses on an element having the capability of converting a sinusoidal alternating current with a specific voltage into a sinusoidal electric current with a voltage which may be different.

This transformation is done by means of the action of a magnetic flux and, thus, the production of the magnetic flux is realized from a coil of wire where circulates an electric current variable in time, according to the law of Lenz-Faraday.      Browning 5B380E

The different tension value can be achieved by introducing a second coil of wire, wound around the same iron element. Thus, we can say that a component capable of transforming electrical energy with different characteristics can always maintain certain electrical automation, and there is no point of connection between the two transformer voltages.

Based on the basic principle of energy conservation, it is plausible to conclude that if the power is kept equal in the transformer, doing so, that changes when it comes to voltage, can cause significant changes in terms of current, that the incoming energy is equal to the energy coming out.

Differential Cooling System

To supply demand, electric motor manufacturers have outlined various cooling systems in order to provide the degree of protection and at the same time enhance thermal exchange. We can first demonstrate five refrigeration systems most used in electric machines:

– The system with air-water exchanger: the thermal exchange is made between the forced air circuit inside the engine and the external water circuit.

– The open system: the heat is drawn from inside the machine, by an external air flow that is propelled through the motor.      baldor VBM3248T

– The system by water mantle: in this system the heat is extracted from the machine by means of a water slide, circulating around the casing, in which the heat arrives by displacement from inside the engine.

– The finned system: the thermal exchange is done by means of axial fins, where the heat joins them by conduction and is removed from the surface of the fins by forced convection.

– The air-to-air changer system: the thermal exchange is made between an internal forced-air circuit and an external one, through the walls of the tubes that develop the exchanger.
