Balancing Factors

It is important to note that the transmission elements, as well as pulleys and couplings, among many other existing types, must be periodically and meticulously balanced before starting the installation process on the axles of the engines. Motors driven without the coupled transmission elements must contain their specific key, firmly, securely or removed, so that it is possible to prevent any kind of accidents that may occur regardless of the reason. In the case of applications with direct coupling, the use of ball bearings is highly recommended.

A tension, in the event that it presents excessively in the belts, will be able to completely damage the bearings, being able to cause, in this way, the rupture of the motor shaft centrifugal bell gosset. That is, the degree of quality of balancing of the motor, must follow the rules in force for each product line. In this way, it is recommended that deviations in the maximum balancing limit be duly recorded in the installation report. The equipment when unbalanced, end up generating vibrations that can cause serious damage to the engine. Ideally, the motors should be dynamically balanced with the so-called half-idle idle, which are decoupled.

Characteristics of Electric Motors

We define torque (also called torque), the measure of the precise effort to spin an axis. It is usually confused with force, which is one of the elements of torque. Torque is the effect of the tangential force on the radial distance of the axis, where this force is inserted. If a motor rotates at an uneven speed at synchronous speed, or being different from the speed of the rotating field, the winding of the rotor ceases the lines of magnetic force of the field and, by the laws of electromagnetism, transient induced currents. The higher the load coupled to the motor shaft, the greater the precise torque required to drive it.

In order to achieve the conjugate, the speed difference must be higher so that the induced currents and the fields produced are higher. This difference in velocity is called slippage (s). Thus, when the load of the engine rises, to obtain adequate torque, the slip must be raised. On this occasion, the rotation of the electric motor decreases. On the other hand, if the motor is unloaded (empty), the rotor rotates practically the synchronous rotation (zero slip). The slip speed is the relative speed between the rotor speed and the speed of the rotating field.
